Flash Fiction Wrapup, Weekly W*nners, and New Books on the Way

Happy Sunday! I’ll soon resume the Sunday snippets, but today I’ll just offer up links to the Sentinels flash fiction that’s run so far in case you’ve missed any–there’s more to come!

Which means I need some ideas. Adventures you’d like to see Jean Lafitte tackle? DJ? Rene? Alex?  Jake? One of my local writing group suggested I write something from Gandalf’s point of view, which might be fun but the muse hasn’t hit me with that one yet. Ideas?

Here’s what’s run so far, and each of these sites has a chance to enter for the iPad (or a ginormous shopping spree at Book Depository for international entrants).

* DANGER, CURVES AHEAD …. DJ and Alex go to the gym.
* THIS MASQUERADE … DJ and Rene go to a costume party in Old Orleans.
* CAT MON DIEU … Jean Lafitte goes to Rouses Supermarket and tries to buy a cut of cat.
* PLAYING WITH A FULL DECK … DJ and Jean Lafitte play poker.
* I YAM WHAT I YAM … DJ takes Jean Lafitte for lunch at Popeyes.
* BAT OUT OF HELL … DJ and Rene face down a bat. (Looks like the sequel could be “DJ has to get rabies shots.”)
* SWAMP PEOPLE … DJ handles a misbehaving merman–and a weregator.

Look for five more flash stories to come!

We all know the fourth Sentinels book won’t be out for a while. In the meantime, however, my alter-ego Susannah Sandlin has a LOT going on this fall and next spring, so check out her…er, my…website today to see what’s happening!

Thanks to the authors who guest-posted here this week. We have a great group coming next week as well! And, of course, a Reader’s Choice giveaway tomorrow. In the meantime, did you win a book this week? If you see your name, please email me HERE with your mailing info. If you won an ebook and prefer not to read a digital version, let me know your preferred genre and I’ll send you something from my Towering TBR or one of my books or Susannah Sandlin’s books (signed books US only)–just let me know in your email which you prefer!

NOT EVERYONES MAMA won a copy of Angela Quarles’ Beer and Groping in Las Vegas. I think this is an ebook, so let me know what format you’d prefer (if you don’t have a reader, there are free Kindle apps to download for your computer or phone). And thanks to Angela for sharing her fun Dragon*Con photos!

BONNIE won a copy of Kelly Whitley’s Into the Red. This also is a digital edition, so let me know the format you prefer and email.

VAMPEDCHIK won the $20 Barnes and Noble gift card from Bette Bolte (thanks, Bette!)

KIMBERLY MAYBERRY won a copy of Margaret Fieland’s Sand in the Desert and her SF romance, Relocated. I believe Sand (poetry) is a print book, while Relocated is digital.

REBE won the week’s Readers Choice award, and she chose Esprit de Corpse by Gina X. Grant. I believe this is a digital book, so let me know your preferred format. If you prefer a print book, you can go back to the post and pick a different one.

Back tomorrow with Reader’s Choice!

“Crawfish pie and filet gumbo, Son of gun, we’ll have big fun on the bayou!” My uncle use to sing me that song all the time. I would dance all over the house, singing it, til I drove everyone crazy.

  4. Dr. Vinson, the nutritionist who was on the show
with him, did his study using LifeExtensionCoffeeGenic Green Coffee Infusion you can discover on The
only problem is you can just get it in 400 milligrams.there,
so you take more of it and it gets more expensive.
