Weekly Winners X 2 and Bombshell Scene-Snippet Sunday

Whew! What a week. I’m hard at work and anticipating an all-nighter (for which I’m entirely too old, by the way) to finish up the last episode of Lovely, Dark, and Deep by tomorrow.

So how about a quick teaser in honor of Allegiance (Penton Legacy, Book Four) now being available for preorder! The release date looks to be June 10, and there’s no blurb or cover yet. Except, because I have (cough, cough) connections with the author, I do have the blurb. Those of you who’ve read Storm Force might find it contains a surprise…

From award-winning author Susannah Sandlin comes the fourth book in the smart and steamy Penton Legacy series. British vampire psychiatrist and former mercenary Cage Reynolds returns to Penton, Alabama, looking for permanent home. The town has been ravaged by the ongoing vampire war and the shortage of untainted human blood. Now the vampires and humans that make up the Omega Force are trying to rebuild. Cage hopes to help the cause, put down roots in Penton, and resolve his relationship with Melissa Calvert. The last thing he expects is an attraction to Robin Ashton, a trash-talking eagle shape-shifter and Omega recruit. Meanwhile, as a dangerous saboteur wreaks havoc in Penton, the ruthless Vampire Tribunal leader Matthias Ludlam has been freed on the eve of his scheduled execution. But by whom? And to what end? As war and chaos rage on, love is the last thing Cage is looking for, but will his attraction to Robin distract him from the danger living among them?

Hm….did that surprise you? What happens between Cage and Melissa, and how does Robin change things? How will Robin’s best friend Nik react to Cage? Will Robin return Cage’s attraction? And who’s sabotaging Penton from the inside? Well, you just gotta wait and see!

[Do you need to read Storm Force in order to read Allegiance? Nope. But it might provide some interesting nonessential context :-)]

Now, I have two weeks’ worth of winners to announce, so here goes! If you see your name, please email me here and provide mailing and/or format preference, if applicable. Note that book tour posts will choose and notify their own winners, usually at the end of the month.

LIV R is the winner of the Jean Lafitte lap blanket. I liked the way this one turned out so I’m waiting for the good folks at Artscow to put their blankies on sale again and I suspect more will be forthcoming ๐Ÿ™‚

GALENA won a mystery box o’ books for signing up for my forthcoming newsletter. These are print books, so let me know a mailing address as well as your preferred genres. No promises but I’ll get as close as I can!

BARBARA E won a digital copy of Julie Johnstone’s Echoes in the Silence. Let me know your preferred format and email, and I’ll forward it to Julie.

SULLIVAN McPIG won this week’s Reader’s Choice contest, and was torn between the first book in Cecy Robson’s Weird Girls series and the first in Tonya Hurley’s Blessed series. Let me know which one you want!

BETHANY C won last week’s Reader’s Choice contest, and wants Lisa Shearin’s new book. Let me know preferred format and mailing info.

  1. Surprise me, heck YES! Pre-ordered. Can’t wait to see Robin again. Robin and Cage, what the what?. Too many questions not enough hints, tease, tease, tease.

  2. Thanks so much! Email has been set. Congrats to all the winners. I haven’t read Storm Force yet, but it’s on my TBR shelf so I guess I need to get to it so I’ll be ready for Allegiance. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Excited for the new book! Major shocker since I’m sitting here going “Wait I just finished Book 2…how is Melissa still in the timeline?”
