How in the world did I get so far behind? Oh yeah. Book deadlines. Day-job deadlines. Eldercare madness. I think my brain has finally unfrozen from the state in which it finished Pirate’s Alley, and as hard as it is to fathom, Sentinels #5, Belle Chasse, is due in mid-July. Wa-hoo! More pirate shenanigans.
NEWSLETTER UPDATE…The debut issue of “Southern Fried Gothic: The Newsletter” will be on its way to your inbox any day now. If you have followed my blog in the past, signed up specifically for the newsletter, or have won something from any of my sites, you will probably receive it. It’s easy to opt out–I don’t want to send stuff you don’t want, and no hard feelings. It will come out once a month and among the features will be a handmade “Bookmark of the Month,” free to all who ask. (Collect them! One day they’ll be worth…absolutely nothing. But they’re kinda fun.) This one has a special sneak peek of Pirate’s Alley, and the cover of Allegiance that didn’t make the cut. And probably something else…oh yeah, more prizes!
Now, three weeks worth of winners! If you see your name here, please contact me: firstname.lastname@example.org. I owe some of you stuff, and am trying to get caught up this week before getting buried in the second Collectors book (which will not be a serial, by the way, can we all have an AMEN?). Oh, sorry, my Southerner came out there for a second.
MARY PRESTON won The Rift by Bob Mayer (print or digital?) in a long-ago Reader’s Choice contest.
LIZ S won a signed copy of Stupid Alabama by my buddy Michael Wines. (It really is funny–if you know a middle-school-age boy, pass it along!)
BETHANY C won a copy of Rebekkah Niles’ Into the Tides (this one is digital, so need your preferred email).
AQUARIAN DANCER won a copy of Sarah McCarty’s Reaper’s Vow in another, more recent Reader’s Choice contest. Print or digital?
MELLIANE won Patricia Briggs’ Night Broken in the most recently completed Reader’s Choice contest.
SUSAN won a signed copy of Betty Bolte’s Hometown Heroines.
Whew! Watch out for the weekly newsletter and, coming tomorrow, this week’s poll!
