Tears of a Pirate

Zombie!

Nope, it’s not a new book review, it’s me. I’m pleased to say Pirate’s Alley is “in the can,” so to speak. All done. That’s the good news.

Bad news? I finished at 4:38 a.m. and had to be at Ye Olde Daye Jobbe at 7:30 a.m. So I am the zombie.

I’m taking a couple of blog days off to recover, but will be back on Thursday with a new reader’s poll, so be thinking: what’s the last scene in the book that made you cry? (Or at least want to cry?) And I do have a reason for asking. And, yes, it has something to do with Jean Lafitte!

Come on back Thursday to talk about crying!

Later, gators!

  1. congrats on finishing pirate’s alley! I will be be thinking about the question
( try to get some rest when you can and drive with caution)

  2. Pirate’s Alley, last date I saw was April 2015, long wait. We need a little something while we wait, Pirateship Down maybe? I don’t think I’ve read any scenes that made me want to cry. I certainly have read scenes that made me mad. Jean and crying, what? See you Thursday.

  3. Great news Suzanne, enjoy your free time after the day job. I cry in almost every book! I just finished Heather Graham – Haunted, and I cried in the first chapter. It also made me want to read the whole book immediately.
I read Jayne Ann Krentz – The Pirate lately, I think you would enjoy some aspects of it, a golden oldie.

  4. Hm.. that’s a hard question, I don’t really cry easily. I did just finish JR Wards Lover Unleashed and the stuff with Vishous was pretty sad. The scene with him and Butch was hard. So that’s probably the latest thing I’ve read that’s made me emotional.
