Happy Book Birthday to Allegiance! (With Gifts for You)

Happy book birthday to Cage (and Aidan and Mirren and Will and the Penton gang)! Thanks to all of you who preordered. I hope you like the book. There were times when I told myself “you’ve gone too far this time,” but only you guys will tell me if it worked. All I know is I love it to pieces and I hope you will too. If you’d like to order today and help send it up the all-important Amazon rankings, here’s your link!

So…off in blogland, I’m doing a fun interview over at the Romance Junkies website, with a giveaway, so I hope you’ll hop over and chat. I’m hoping the EDJ (that’s shorthand for evil day job) will spare me a few moments to stop by today and respond to comments. Also, you can enter for the tour-wide prizes, including a $50 Amazon GC (or Book Depo equivalent) at Share My Destiny today. [NOTE: I had the wrong URL up earlier for Romance Junkies–the link should be working now.]

Don’t forget to drop by Facebook tonight! I’ll be at this link between 7-9 p.m. Central (8-10 Eastern) with seven guest authors and we’re all talking paranormal and giving stuff away. I’ll be tossing out four $25 Amazon gift cards (or Book Depo) at 7:30, 8, 8:30 and 9, and will have other surprise goodies along the way.

Speaking of which….I have three swag packs to give away today. They will have a combination of Penton and Sentinels stuff in them, each one will be slightly different, and they might have such strange things as Vampire Potion or pillowcases. You just never know! Open internationally.

Just leave a comment as to what you think should happen with Cage and Melissa, if you’ve read the series. If not, share your favorite vampire town! (No, it doesn’t have to be Penton–LOL.)

And hope to see some of you guys tonight!

  1. they should become great friends, have a special relationship but not love ( it irked me to no end that cage could envision having sex with melissa that was like a patient)

i wish you a lot of success!!!!!

      • yes and he is part of my favourite now, he can show courage and keep his mind on teh matter ( oki not always but mostly^^)
You surprised me with Allegiance and now i must have the rest^^you can’t stop here so i hope publishers had the good sense to ask for me

Have a fantastic release day! ( i could have joined briefly FB just for you but i will be sleeping then^^;; still you will be in my thoughts)

        • No, it has to keep going for at least one more book so I can get Aidan taken care of. He’s hanging on by a thread right now! (Thanks for the review, as well!)

  2. I’d say Caldwell, NY, where the Black Dagger Brotherhood lives (works/fight/plays/etc.)!

    • Definitely agree, Janie. The thing I love about Caldwell is that even though it isn’t a real city, JR Ward’s descriptions are so good and so consistent that I could almost draw a map of the place!

  3. I’m not caught up in the series (only read the 1st 2 so far) so I don’t feel like I can say anything about Cage/Melissa until I’m caught up! But happy book birthday! I will be on FB tonight at the chat πŸ™‚

  4. I also feel they should just be friends nothing bothered me with him liking her just doesn’t feel like love to me.

  5. Downloaded my copy this morning but can’t read it until later this week. I’m sure you have some surprises in store for Cage and Melissa. Sorry to miss your FB party tonight. Happy release day!

  6. I haven’t read the Penton series yet but I hope to read it soon. I guess New Orleans would be my choice for now.

  7. I haven’t started the series yet, and my favorite vamp town is DC. Yeah, I know it’s not a typical vamp town; I just think it should be.

    • Hm, you know you’re right–we don’t see many vamps in DC. I know a couple of Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty Norville books are set there with storylines centering on vampires.

  8. Such a great FB party! Lots of people intrigued with the book. I keep wondering why we have no vamps in Chicago…we’ve got lots of slow juicy humans to prey upon. And, deep dish pizza.
Oh well. I kinda like arctic settings for my vamps. I guess because I think they are cold blooded and wouldn’t be troubled by the low temps, a la van Helsing.

    • Thanks, Veronica–it was a fun party (and got kind of chaotic, but that’s the nature of things). Chloe Neill’s series is set in Chicago, right? The Dresden Files, my favorite urban fantasy series, is set in Chicago and has an interesting vampire world–although those are NOT the sexy cuddly kind of vampires, for sure!

  9. I had so much fun at the party!!!! I’m so glad that I could make it. πŸ˜€ The town that came to mind for me was Bon Temps, although there are other creatures….. πŸ˜€ Congrats again on your new release!

  10. Happy Release day!!! I missed the party because of a little thing called sleep πŸ˜‰ (Im in Ireland) Ive only read book 1 of Penton so wont comment yet but my favourite town is Morganville πŸ˜‰ Love that series too πŸ™‚

  11. Boy, I am super late on everything here lately! Congrats on the new book my friend!! I can’t wait to read it!!
