Where did the week go?

It’s been one of those cray-cray weeks at the day job, including having to work yesterday on Saturday. But there were some big things afoot this week on a personal level. Meet Shadowfax, who replaced Samwise Gamgee as my trusty steed this week. As of today, he has 48 miles on him, 40 more than when I bought him. (“Bought” being a relative term.) Yeah, I’m a speed demon, right? The salesman looked at the 77,001 miles on my 13-plus-year-old SUV and said, “You don’t drive much, do you?” Ya think?

Anyway, it’s little and cute and smells of new car. I finally figured out how to crank it (it’s keyless) and lock it, and now am working my way through the wonders of satellite radio. I really was behind the times.

Since I didn’t have a chance to blog much last week, I’ll hold off on announcing the Readers Choice winner until next Sunday, when I have a VERY special guest and giveaway.

I’m also working with some folks more knowledgeable than me about such things about my branding, which means changes to the poor, plain website. So a question: is it loading faster these days, or is it still slow?

  1. Nice car! The website is loading faster, and constantly. Great improvement. A very special guest, curios, will have to wait and be surprised. Teaser….

  2. Nice car! Welcome to the joy of satellite radio. ๐Ÿ™‚

The website loads a lot faster than it used to; I haven’ t had any issues with it in a while. Is there a place on the site to download Jackson Square? I don’t see it anywhere on Amazon.

    • Thanks, Liz! I don’t have Jackson Square up at present; I’d planned to put out a collection of stories and have that be part of it. Stay tuned for more. I’d like to get it up on Amazon by mid-May ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Awesome! I’m lending my copies of the books to a friend, and based on her reaction to Jean so far I know she’s going to love his POV. I’m thrilled to hear you’re going to be doing a collection of stories — I can’t wait!

  3. I love your new car. And I have never bought a new car, my current one is from 1998 I believe. So no modern wonders for me either. Fun fact, Samwise is the first name of author Yasmine Galenorn’s husband.
If you are changing the website, please, please add the feature that I can see if you reply to my comments.

    • Yes, it doesn’t notify me of comments either, so I have to make sure that’s one of the features when the site gets redone. Waiting for bids now to see if I can find someone to design a new site that doesn’t charge more than the price of a new car!
