30 Books in 30 Days Giveaway: International Chocolate Day!

Happy Chocolate Day! Yes, there is too such a thing. I would never make that up. What do you think I am, a fiction writer?

In case you missed Sunday’s post, in honor of the upcoming fun at ย Authors After Dark, I’m doing a 30-Books-in-30-Days giveaway. Okay, really it’s so I can pare down my TBR pile. Open internationally, and the book is a mystery–I can only tell you it will be either UF, SF, Fantasy, YA paranormal, or PNR. If you win, you can give me a couple of genres and I’ll match them if I can but I”m a lot heavier on some genres than others. (I don’t have a lot of adult UF, in other words because there just isn’t much coming out anymore.)

All you have to do to enter is answer the question: What’s your favorite form of chocolate?

As for me, I have a love me/love me not relationship with chocolate. I like chocolate candy if it’s mixed with nuts or some other flavor like mint or fruit or pretzels. I do not like chocolate ice cream but I like vanilla ice cream with chocolate ripples. I like chocolate cake but not chocolate frosting. I can’t explain it.

Given a big tray of chocolate things, the first thing I will gravitate toward is a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup. Yum! (Not the Reese’s Pieces, though….too much chocolate!)

How about you? Comment to be entered in today’s drawing. Winners will be announced on Sundays throughout the month.

  1. In this heat right now I don’t really think about chocolate, but come autumn and winter I love gingerbread dipped in chocolate. *yummy*

As a side note … when it comes to Miki’s delicious Belgian chocolate I also have NO willpower. *lol*

    • i need to make up for the missed easter so winter will treat you well ( wouldn’t dare to even go buy some it would melt before reaching the home)

  2. I love *anything* chocolate…except fudge, I’ve never liked fudge…yet every year I give it a try and my taste buds still say nope! lol

  3. My favorite chocolates are the sea salted ones. Dark or milk chocolate it doesn’t matter… either way my faves have that yummy sea salt on top! I want one now thinking about it…

  4. Man, some great chocolate ideas here! I agree about Miki’s Belgian chocolate with raspberry or orange–so good! I also don’t like fudge, but I do like brownies. Hm….wonder where I could get a brownie….*goes off in search of brownies*…..

  5. ^^ for me it’s simple milk chocolate ( and preferably the Lindt one^^;;)
as for make some wanting christmas coming sooner…..in that brand you love they have some novelty with other fruits ( even lytchee^^) so while i will give priority to your favourite one i will pick other with fruits as it seem to be your favourite

  6. I love bonbons, preferably filled with liquor. I also don’t like chocolate ice cream, but I do like chocolate sauce on my ice cream. I think I will have a hot chocolate to celebrate!

  7. I love most types of chocolates; right now, I’m going through a salted dark chocolate with coconut phase. During the holidays I make either a chocolate cherry mousse or a chocolate mint mousse(both made with Bailey’s), they are delicious! Chocolate makes me smile ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. I’m not big on just plain chocolate; it’s got to have something else for me. I guess if I had to pick, Snickers. Or Twix. Does Colbert’s Americone Dream count? It has chocolate in it; it’s just not the focus. That ice cream is a good time.

  9. I’m not picky, I’ll eat pretty much any chocolate, but I’m partial to caramel or peanut butter filling, yum. ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate with nuts. I love all kinds of dark chocolate desserts like chocolate lava cake, ice cream, etc.

  11. I’m lot like you actually, I prefer my chocolate to be accompanied by something else unless its pure fudge or white chocolate and my absolute favorite is chocolate covered caramel.

  12. I like dark chocolate mixed with other things…especially sea salt! I’m also a big fan of chocolate milk ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. I love dark chocolate, the darker the better up to about 80%. I’d always choose dark chocolate over milk or white chocolate unless the dark chocolate has something I hate in it, such as coconut. In a mixed box of chocolates, I’d probably go for a filled dark chocolate first – raspberry or mint.

  14. I love white chocolate (and I know it isn’t really chocolate). and dark chocolate and milk chocolate and chocolate with peanut butter and…. gotta go each some chocolate!
