Take the Survey and Enter to Win $25 GC

Happy Sunday!

As many of you know, I’ve been doing a “30 Books in 30 Days” giveaway to pare down my TBR pile. I’ll be doing the final week of the “30 Books” feature this coming week. Thanks for playing along–it has been fun to read your answers!

BUT…it’s also time to take a look at this blog, at where it’s been and where it’s going.

A little history, for those who haven’t been with me as long. This blog’s official name is “Preternatura,” although in the current design that name got lost. Originally, it had a different URL than my author website, but was integrated last year as I attempted to “brand” Suzanne/Susannah into the same site. I’ve tried a lot of things in the past, from lots of guest authors, to weekly book club posts, to “Easter Eggs,” with varying amounts of success.

Today, as I look at where this site should go, I have a short survey I’d like you to fill out. Answers are confidential–I won’t know who filled out what, so be honest. So if you think the site is boring and shouldn’t continue, say so. If there’s something you’d like to see, say so. If there’s something you never want to see again, say so.

Fill out the survey, and then let me know here that you’ve filled it out in order to be entered for a $25 Amazon gift card or equivalent order from Book Depository. You’re on the honor system! Click here to take the survey.

In the meantime, here are book winners from the past week. If you see your name, please email me (suzannej3523@gmail.com) with your snail-mail info and one or two genre preferences. Particularly let me know if you will read YA because somehow, I ended up with a lot of it. You may also choose one of my books if you prefer!

Kathrine A.won the Harry Potter giveaway.
S Meek won the cheesecake giveaway (even though she doesn’t like cheesecake!)
Suzanne Boyd won the lasagna giveaway.
Booklady won the Tim Lees giveaway–a copy of Tim’s book, mystery book, or one of my books–your choice.
Bube won this week’s Reader’s Choice giveaway and chose Dragon Fall by Katie MacAlister. Choice of print or digital.
Have a good day–fill out those surveys!!

  1. Completed survey. Have been a fan of Preternatura since 2010. Think I have four favorite things: 1] Character interviews 2] Outtakes or missing scenes 3] New Orleans photos, history, book connections 4] Scene snippets

  2. Done. And being a relative newbie to your blog I would hate to see you drift toward a “general fiction” blog. This blog is about you and IMHO it should stay that way. 🙂

  3. Done! I hope the input helps. We’ve been friends for a while now.. and I feel silly asking this.. but what is your preferred name? And, I’d love to see more of YOU .. and what you’re writing, researching, and experiencing. Huggers to you! You’ll find that you already have the key.. just drifted from it a bit. 🙂

  4. Did the survey! good questions 🙂 I couldn’t “rate” the first question 1-6 because it only allowed me to select one, but I selected what’s more important to me to read about 🙂

please keep it a blog about your writing and characters 🙂

  5. Thank you for being interested in what your readers want to hear about! Your thoughtfulness is one more reason I am drawn to your blog – you are part of the draw, so I hope you keep it author-specific 🙂

  6. Completed the survey. As a reader of your blog I really appreciate you taking the time to try to improve it, although I’m pretty happy with the way it is right now 🙂
Thanks for all the nice content 🙂

  7. Completed survey! In the past, the page has been slow to load. Now that it has been fixed, I hope more readers come back. I really enjoy the site! The extra insight to you as an author and artist are one of many reasons I visit this site almost every day. Thank you for all your hard work!
