WTH Wednesday: The Caption Contest

Argh! Yesterday got away from me. Edits came back on PIRATESHIP DOWN ahead of schedule (yay!), so I’m working on those. Then it’s off to the formatter. Then the cover artist. And then, if all goes well, it should be up for preorder by mid-October. At least them’s the plans. This is my first foray into “indie” publishing, which means I basically don’t know what the heck I’m doing, but I do want you guys to have some nice pirate stories to tide you over until BELLE CHASSE. This is the first of what I hope will be three novella-plus-stories collections.

Want to know the final Table of Contents? Well, then, you have to subscribe to the newsletter by clicking on the tab above! Newsletter goes out on the 15th of every month.

In the meantime, since it’s too early for Throwback Thursday, how about WTH Wednesday?

Give me a caption for this photo: Mine is: “Hey, Billy Bob, I think she’s got yer teeth!”

Now, I have no idea the real story behind this photo, but I will reluctantly admit that the dude on the far right is my paternal grandfather, may he rest in peace, and that he looks three sheets to the wind. Then again, that could just be realllllly good iced tea. ๐Ÿ™‚

Leave a caption to be entered for a TBR book giveaway! I’ll pick a winner at random, and a second winner for the one that I find funniest ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Ha! Billy Bob looks absolutely fascinated by it, too! I’ve been looking at the room around them, and it looks more like a restaurant of some sort (Billy Bob might be figuring out what on the menu he can eat with no teeth), but my granddad sure looks happy!

    • Hoho! I’ve heard that about Mack :-). I’m guessing, just by looking at my grandfather and trying to guess his age, that this was taken in the 1950s, but I’m not sure where my grandparents were living at that time. But wherever it was, bet there was a guy named Mack with some White Lightning!

    • OMG. I had to pull myself off the floor on that one. LOLOL. From the stories I’ve heard, it is quite possible, had he lived a couple of centuries earlier, that my grandfather might have been a pirate!

  1. “Hey instead of looking at the girls’ pictures, look on the stage it’s starting to get interesting”

^^ try to not to overdo it ^^ but yes i’m waiting for teh newsletter to discover more while waiting^^

    • LOLOL. I think Billy Bob might enjoy Pirateship Down. Anytime Rene and Jean are involved, there’s going to be chaos. Well, okay, Jean, Rene and DJ–the “stars” of PSD, as I’m calling it.

    • Haha–I think my granddad likes Monsieur Lafitte. He WAS in the Navy in World War I, now that I think about it. Little-known bit of trivia. He and my dad–and no one else on earth–called me Suzy. ๐Ÿ™‚
