Birthdays and Firemen and Awards and Weekly Winners

To all of you who are mothers, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. For those of us still blessed to have our moms, let’s cherish them today. And for those who have lost their moms, try to remember the happiest times today in their honor.

So, yeah, yesterday was my birthday. It was pretty uneventful if you leave out the part about the firemen’s visit at 4 p.m. and all the mess in the kitchen floor, including a pan of oil. But we won’t talk about that. Suffice to say no one was seriously injured and I have a lot of cleaning to do today.

Instead, let’s talk about WILD MAN’S CURSE! I’m happy to announce that it is a finalist for the 2017 Holt Medallion in romantic suspense. I’ve been fortunate to win two Holts in the past; it’s an award that I value because it’s judged by readers and booksellers. Anyway, ABSOLUTION won for paranormal romance in 2013, and LOVELY, DARK, AND DEEP won for romanic suspense in 2015. Woo-hoo! Keep your fingers crossed; the winners will be announced in July.

In the meantime, did you win a book last week? d

bcardoo79 won this week’s Reader’s Choice giveaway and selected The Shadow Accords. Let me know if you want this or a different book, and whether print or digital! And stay tuned tomorrow for a new Reader’s Choice.
