Just a little catchup today. Did you hear about the nuttiness at Auburn U yesterday? Some idiot wrote on the wall of a men's restroom that he'd visit violence on the campus "of biblical proportions" on April 16, so there was some viral social media and panic and the whole university ended up shutting down for the day. Which is, um, how I finally got the bookmarks finished. Looks like it was a sick prank (fingers crossed, anyway).
Warning! If you start to see a little advertising here and there on the site, my apologies. I’m trying to monetize the site a bit to help cover my expenses, after totaling up my blog, giveaway and upkeep costs for the past year when I did my taxes. Oy! Anyhow, it’s just an Amazon affiliate program, so if you decide to buy any books from a link on the blog, I’ll get a little kickback. It should be pretty innocuous.
Second, I have finally finished making the custom bookmarks for April, which were made available through subscribing to my monthly newsletter. If you didn’t claim one before, speak up now. They have a quote from Chenoire on one side with some digital art I put together, and the one you’ll receive has YOUR name on the other side. They’re all signed. There will be a different bookmark every month. You can leave a comment here with an email contact if you want one, or can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you already made contact, don’t worry–I should have yours already made. (If you aren’t sure, go ahead and get in touch.)
If you didn’t get the April newsletter and would like to get on the list, I think there’s a newsletter tab above and, if there isn’t, email me and I’ll get you added. Lots of giveaways, and hopefully not too annoying.
Next, drum roll, Allegiance (The Penton Vampire Legacy) has its first official review! My new issue of RT Book Reviews (June) came in yesterday, and I held my breath when I opened it up. It’s a Top Pick, 4-1/2 star reviewer’s choice for the month, right there on the page between Christine Feehan and Nalini Singh. Susannah is beyond excited–woo hoo! (And yes, as incestuous as it sounds, if you click that link to preorder, I think I get a nickel or something like that–LOL.)
Finally, are you going to RT Booklovers Convention in New Orleans next month? If so, let me know via email; if there is enough interest and I can work out the schedule, I might try to arrange a little breakfast for some readers. Again, email is: email@example.com.
That’s it for today! Catch you tomorrow!
