30 Books in 30 Days: Chocolate Chip Edition

And….we continue with our 30 Books in 30 Days Extravaganza, wherein I attempt to pare down my TBR. I think I finally found a place to send all those hundreds (literally) of YA books I’ve gotten over the last two or three years. I honestly think they’ve been breeding!

So, if YA books breed, does that make them NA books? Hm. Something to ponder.

I mailed out six “30 Days” winners’ books yesterday. Remember I’m mailing them media mail in the USA so that I might remain financially solvent for another month rather than making large donations to the US Postal Service. Although my neighbor is a mail carrier named Tony and he’s the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.

Which is apropos to nothing, especially National Chocolate Chip Day. This is not a day that excites me, I’m afraid. Chocolate chip cookies? Not a fan, although if  there’s nothing else available I’ll eat one. Chocolate chip ice cream? Maybe with mint. Muffins? Eh….

BUT, all you have to do to be entered for a mystery book or one of my books–your choice–is tell me how you best like to eat chocolate chips.

My vote is chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Now THAT’s the way to do chocolate chips! *Pauses for a moment of silence in hopes Blue Bell will soon be back on the shelves*

How about you?

By the way, I’m going to let the survey run another couple of days–thanks so much for all the feedback. You can still find the link HERE. Some of the answers have quite taken me by surprise! I’ll report back tomorrow, answer some of the questions the survey answers have raised, plus announce the winner of this month’s newsletter giveaway!

  1. I like chocolate chips in my oatmeal and black raspberry choc chip I’ve cream is my favorite.

  2. I like my chocolate chips in a chocolate chip cookie that is warm from the oven and has crisp edges and a softer chewy center.

  3. Out of the bag. I usually keep a bag of dark chocolate chips in the fridge and grab a few when I am craving something sweet.

  4. For me, it is a tie between right out of the bag or in brownies! 🙂

    Love all your fun questions!

  5. Good Heavens, I miss Blue Bell! We have a Blue Bell plant just outside of Tulsa, in Broken Arrow and I can’t wait until they are back up and running and making my favorite chocolate chip ice cream!

  6. Do I have to have one favorite way? I guess I’ll go with nice, chewy chocolate chip cookies.

  7. I do think cookies are the winner, although there are a LOT of you sneaky people eating chocolate chips straight out of the bag!! And Susan, I am waiting anxiously–we have a Blue Bell plant near me as well, in Sylacauga, Alabama, and they restarted production last week. So I hope to see some on the shelves soon. Best. Ice. Cream. Ever. 🙂

  8. I do like chocolate chip cookies but a lot of times the chocolate chip dough is just to good to bake:) I also am looking forward to when Blue Bell is available again.

  9. I like my chocolate chips in cookies & in ice cream. Not at the same time, however…

  10. I love cookie dough ice cream! Otherwise I’ll take chocolate cookies with chips in them too 🙂
